+ Free CD For New Members

Full NADJ membership now includes a £10m PLI policy.  Existing Full Members will get free cover with their current membership subscription and all new members also get a free CD from our supporting partners at CD Pool.

Here's what one of our newest members, Harjit Mahal of Paragon20 Roadshow, had to say: "I have been looking to join an Association for a while now and I have struggled to find anything that looks cohesive.

I saw your offer of £10m in liability cover and it just clicked with me that you guys are actually serious about what you do and I am sure that it is going to be a privilege to be a member!"

New members can visit www.cdpool.com and select the CD of their choice from their monthly releases (Hits, Radio, Remix, Dance, Club, Global, Underground or Urban).  This offer could save new members of the NADJ almost £22 and makes joining the Association outstanding value!

Equipment Insurance For DJs

Members of the NADJ can now get preferential rates on equipment insurance through the insurance broker we use for our Public Liability Insurance, Hencilla Canworth.  These offers compare very favourably with similar insurance products from other providers.  The average saving for NADJ members on the quotes comparison is 24.62%.

For example, NADJ members can get £5,000 of equipment insurance with UK coverage and Unattended Vehicle Cover for £136.50.  In comparison, DJ Guard would charge £200 for a similar insurance product - a saving of £63.50 or 32%.  The saving is nearly as much as your membership of the NADJ for one year.

The insurance is underwritten by Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) PLC and provides cover against accidental, physical loss or damage and theft of equipment.  There is no excess to pay on any claims for repairs or replacement products and theft from the stage is also covered within the territorial limits.

The policy is based an a 'new for old' scheme and any insured equipment damaged beyond repair or stolen will be replaced with a new item.  The insurance also includes cover for the cost of hiring alternative equipment up to 10% of the sums insured to a maximum of £2,500, subject to a maximum hire period of 4 weeks.

NADJ North East Gathering

NADJ Member, Chris Dye of PP Entertainments, has arranged for a gathering of North East DJs to attend an informal meeting at Taybarns restaurant that's just off the A1 and near the Metro Centre.

The informal social night takes place on Tuesday 14th September at 7pm and members of the NADJ and non-members are welcome to attend the social event as it is a great way to network with other professional DJs in the area.  The emphasis of the gathering is not to sell or force the NADJ on the attendees, but many of the visitors to previous meetings have since joined the Association.

NADJ Wales Branch Meeting - September 2010

The next NADJ South Wales meeting is to be held next Tuesday the 14th September at the Student Union Facilities at the University Of Wales Newport, please do make the effort to attend and support your branch.

Last months family BBQ was a great success and an enjoyable family social occasion for all who made the effort to travel over to How Caple Grange, Ross on Wye.

This months meeting will again be an educational and fun packed event with the added advantage of opportunities to network with DJ colleagues.  There have been very many occasions where branch members have been able to assist each other over the last few months, some of which will be highlighted by your branch committee on Tuesday night.

NADJ Member in Dreamflight Disco Challenge

One of our members has decided to put himself and his reputation to the test in aid of a children’s charity.

Darren Jeffs of Big Mix Mobile Disco aims to raise as much money as possible for the Dreamflight charity at a special fundraising event in November.  There will be a sponsored dance floor challenge and the DJ is looking for donations from local businesses.

The event takes place between 7pm-12am on Saturday 20th November 2010 at Daventry Leisure Centre.  Mr Jeffs will use his skills to create a fun and memorable evening, as he explains: "I was inspired by Dreamflight's idea that everyone deserves to have fun – no matter what age or condition they're in.

"Dreamflight allows seriously ill children to take the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland in Florida and for some, it turns their lives around.  They find they can become great achievers. It's all about loving life."
